The average annual gross earnings in 2014 was 27 830 TL
According to the Earnings Structure Survey, the average annual gross earnings in 2014 was TL 27,830. This value was 27 thousand 775 TL for men and 27 thousand 974 TL for women.
Those with higher education and higher education earned the highest gain.
When the results of the study were examined, it was seen that the earnings of both male and female wage earners generally increased in direct proportion to the education level. Similar situation was observed for age group and seniority year. According to the education level, the highest annual average gross earning was obtained from those with higher education and higher education level. The average annual gross earnings at this level of education was 55 thousand 633 TL for men and 45 thousand 483 TL for women.

The highest earnings were in the financial and insurance activities sector
When the wages and earnings of wage earners are examined in the branch of economic activity, it is observed that the highest annual average gross earnings is in the ”finance and insurance activities” economic activity branch with 62 thousand 250 TL. This sector was followed by the ”information and communication” sector with 61 thousand 830 TL. The lowest annual average gross earning was 20 thousand 451 TL in the “accommodation and food service activities” sector. This was followed by the “administrative and support service activities” sector with an average annual gross profit of TL 21,340.
Unqualified workers have the lowest earnings
When the results of the study are examined in terms of occupational group (ISCO 08), it is seen that the highest annual average gross earning is 86 thousand 701 TL and the employees in the iler managers ”occupation group have the highest annual average earnings. This professional group with 57 thousand 678 TL "professional professionals" followed. The lowest annual average gross earning was 17 thousand 056 TL in the meyen non-qualifying professions ”group.
The gender-based wage gap was in favor of male wages at all levels of education
Gender-based (male-female) wage gap is defined as the percentage of wage gap between male and female in male wage. This indicator can be calculated on the basis of hourly, monthly or annual average wage and calculated using the annual average gross wage. While the gender-based wage gap was in favor of the female wage in total (-0.4%), it was in favor of the male wage for all levels of education.

Earnings Structure Research; In order to compile information on the level, structure and development of wages and earnings in terms of the characteristics of wage-earning employees, it has been implemented at four-year intervals concurrently with EU countries since 2006. The third of the series, 2014 Earnings Structure Survey; Based on November 2014 and annual data, in 2015, it was implemented in 17,137 workplaces selected by sampling method by covering B-N and P-S sectors (industry, construction and services) according to the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Community (NACE Rev.2). In this study, people working in the workplace for wages were included. In the sectors covered in the research, women make up 27.4% of wage earners.
